Khalid and Dinda's Wedding
23 October 2010

Call it luck but most probably it was blessing that my trip got postponed so then I could make things possible for my thrill seeking hobby and these two lovely couple. It was Friday afternoon when I received this unusual call telling me that if I'm free to cover a wedding the following day. Oohlala! That caught me by surprise. I felt a little pressure for them since their photographer had backed out late in the afternoon before the event. So I did what I'm supposed to do. I remember telling Khalid, let's make this happen. (~_~)

Last minute review. It was a struggle to shoot the event as I consider myself as more of a 'natural light' photographer. And for the very reason that I am not yet ready to invest on a mighty Speedlight 430EX II made it impossible for me to get the perfect shots that I want. These hands are still not yet set for heavier gadgets I guess. I felt a big relief when the ceremony was over.

Few details with Khun Kung, AIT's famous hairstylist.

The wedding dress and the ceremonial throne for K&D.

They had a nice ring.

Portrait Session :: Villanueva Family

Taking family portraits of friends has given me so much pleasure. I love taking them on normal days as I don't have to think more about how should it blend with the theme or coach my subjects what to do.

Exploring the Ancient City :: Phitsanulok 2

The very enterprising little boy. Though we can't fully comprehend what he was saying, surprisingly he made us bought most of his goods that day.
Maris brought us to Kaeng Song waterfalls for a lunch date with new found friends. It's a place were you get a good chance to eat out, relax, mingle, have a good time and appreciate nature.

Food! We had Somtam Thai (Thai papaya salad), Moo yang (roasted pork), Kai yang (roasted chicken) for our picnic lunch. Matched with fresh veggies and chili sauce. Yum!

And oh, the Kaeng Song waterfalls!

Hubby enjoyed the motorcycle ride and the company of thrill-seekers like us.

Too tired of the road trip. Now is the best time to relax. A couple of hours massage beside the Nan River and along the way to Phitsanulok Night Market.

Can't stop myself from clicking at each photo ops, like there's no turning back again.

The Road Less Traveled :: Koh Sichang

13-15 April (Songkran, Thai New Year 2010)

Sharing you a few shots I had from our travel to Koh Sichang. A quiet cove located at the gulf of Thailand, province of Chonburi. This place is less popular to tourist, making it at the top of my list for a weekend wandering.

It was an hour and a half travel via Bangkok-Chonburi motorway going to Siracha Pier. A ferry ride costs about 40 baht per person which leaves every hour from Siracha to Thaa Laang pier. Around the island I found an assortment of beautiful resorts such as Malee Blue, Paree Hut and the less costly Rim Talay. I enjoyed bathing at the clear waters of Ao Asdang (Atsadang Beach) and explored the whole island by renting a motorcycle for 300 Baht a day.

Watch out for the beautiful landmarks on my next post "The Road Less Traveled 2". Till then.

New Beginnings

SPRING.

New life and new beginnings.

When flowers bloom and photographers' lenses zoom.

Sun kissed and bursting trees.

Seizing the Moment

It's Christmas Day! With no formal plans we headed to the nearest mall to watch our first and last 3D movie of the year Avatar. As you know, me and T would always prefer watching films at home as we snuggle. However this time is another milestone in our history.

Towards starvation, we hurriedly took night shots of the Santa Village. I was thrilled seeing the huge Christmas tree and the ant size figures of the people around it. We have exceeded the supposedly thirty minutes shooting time into an hour. Then it's as if my stomach was already making an act. Like nagging moms alarming their children to eat.

I felt extremely happy with the thought of spending ordinary activities in extraordinary way. Just trying to live while we can.
