New Slice of Life

New year new episode of my daily experiences will be jotted down here and nothing elsewhere. It feels happy to do what pleases you. Whether that's the new skill that I'm trying to learn or the part that makes me look deeper into myself. The old values vs new influences are forming me everyday. I am beyond grateful of the past. Trusting the future will be as rewarding in knowing that He is always with me.

Christmas Project :: Parol (Christmas Lantern)

Oh Christmas! Why do I love thee?

There's one good reason why I look forward to this happy season. It is because people connect. Yep, that's right. It establishes and re-establishes our connection with family and friends. Though we really don't have to wait once a year to make a connection. Yet undeniably we feel much more closer this time of the year.


The project begins. It started with finding the right materials to be used. Then T prepared the structure by using 10 polished bamboo sticks to create two stars and placed it side by side. Dried leaves are starting to fall rapidly and soon a quick experience of autumn will be felt around the neighborhood.


Now that the two stars are tied evenly, it is time to put a support at the middle. We made sure that all sides of the structure are sturdy so an electric glue gun secured it well. Next, T was able to put in his electrical ability. Finally it was the turn to seal it off. And Voila! The star of Christmas is here at last!

Wedding :: Barry & Lynne

I have witnessed how destiny has played tricks on this couple. People were glad that they are finally blessed to go on in their next phase in life. Best wishes to Lynne and Barry!

An Angel in Disguise

Most people knew her as Ting-ting or Lizette but not much as Angelie or Mary. Why is that? Only her mom knows why she endowed her with three beautiful names rather than the usual single name.

One of my dearest friends since elementary. A great artist who spends most of her time planning, designing and drawing beautiful buildings and houses for a living.

This photo was taken during our quick stop at Lamesa Grill, Cebu. Ting with her favorite apan-apan or morning glory cooked with garlic and oyster sauce.

I felt blessed to get a chance to take their family photo. People who are close to my heart.

Maureen and I are kindred spirits when it comes to shopping --we're both impulse buyers. We both landed our first job in Bangkok on the same school and shared a single flat. That's where I get to know her better, as well as her fiancee then Wawa. A very generous, easy to please and down-to-earth people.

I've witnessed how they grow in love. Soon their bond will be complete as they receive the spiritual blessings they hoped for. Best wishes dear friends!

Dreaming of Spring

Blessed to have cool summer nights lately (^_^). I've heard it drizzled in Bangkok yesterday too.

I chatted with SIL Dy last night with a brief interlude about traveling. I expect it to be the best time of the year or should I say it's a must to visit picturesque Prague on spring time. And so again I get excited with the thought of it but at the back of my mind this is not as simple as getting a round trip ticket and go. There are several things to consider like visas, availability of flights and other stuffs.

When the right time comes for me to see the wild berries in Praha, I know everything will just fall into places. So now let me just enjoy my light dinner of strawberry and vanilla yogurt. I never thought I could find affordable strawbs during summer. It's a miracle! Oh, don't worry, I had my fill of bacon sandwich prior to this.

They are Turning Four!

I am genuinely grateful to this friend whom I came across with in another social networking called multiply. I never thought of finding true people like T among tons of people in the network. She has one baby then by that time. I find her cute everytime she uses the term whatnots in calling other things. Through the years we followed each others path virtually. Last year, we finally met up at her lovely home in Cebu. I felt ecstatic that day.

Soon, her family will be turning four this coming March or April. I just hope it's going to be a baby girl this time because that's what T and most of the people around her prays for.

Mini Business Venture

ENTREPRENEURSHIP. I always feel happy in serving other people and the fulfillment I get out of it is priceless. Lately I have been to a mini baking business venture with close friends as my main customers. (^_^) There's no doubt I heart baking and in my little way somehow I was able to prove to myself that I can find other means to survive.

BRANDING. Since then, I have this blueprint in mind of how I'm gonna name my future bakeshop. I use to tell T about it just for the record, believing that wish do come true. In short, I called it Quick Bites, ETC.

LIMITED. I made it clear beforehand that I'm not serious with it and this is just for the sake of satisfying their delights. However, it felt good to hear yummy quotes from them. Still I'm not making up my mind. For now this will remain a lucrative hobby for me.

Filling In the Memory Bank

I'm having a hard time motivating myself to read. I am more of a visual person and understands best when I see what I'm learning than reading which makes me feel that I seldom exercise my brains, consequently it is rusting.

On photo are my chosen few. It came so timely that a friend gave me something to work on while I'm on house arrest. (^_^) I am totally clueless about these trio. So if you could give me a little hint if they are good or not I'd gladly welcome it. I'm just hoping it would lead me to a healthier lifestyle.

Speaking of healthy lifestyle, I started following the hip hop abs on the web this morning until afternoon while doing the laundry in between. It feels good to get back rocking my fat belly. This is just the start to a better me. Let's get physical!

Accomplishment and Next

Last Monday afternoon, was a liberating moment for me as I finally uncovered the mystery of creating this type of photoblog theme. I am quite satisfied of what it turned out. Pure simplicity at its best. Now I am looking for ways how to recreate the same thing on my Wordpress blog but it seems that I would need the help of mr. techxplore inorder to materialize my idea. How I wish it would be that easy to shift his attention.

Soon it will be Christmas and I plan to wrap my presents for my little angels then place them below our tiny tree. How time flies so fast. I've noticed that my godsons and goddaughters seems to grow like weeds. Lately I chose to give them clothes which they could hopefully use for more than a year. Anyway, the bottomline has always been, it's the thought that counts!

I can feel Christmas in the air =)
