Another Day Has Dawned

by Kit McCallum

"Positive action begins in our own backyards;
Positive action flows through your own neighborhood;
Positive action can encompass your own small town or city;
… And through this, we are all connected.

Be a mentor when others fail to counsel;
Be a counselor when others fail to listen;
Be a listener when others fail to notice;
… Be a positive experience with every child you meet.

For yesterday, someone looked the other way;
Yesterday, someone pretended they did not see;
Yesterday, someone passed by without offering help;
… But today, it is not too late.

Today, you can make a difference in someone’s life;
Today, you can offer your love and guidance;
Today, you can choose to be a positive influence for another;
… And then maybe, just maybe, our world will change with you. "

They call him Prof. Mig, if I'm not mistaken, a conservatory of music professor. He's a good friend of Fr. Joe who comes to visit him often at Mercy Center to share his talent. I am always amused at how powerful his voice is, and his music--- rich with inspiring stories from countless generations. It's a nice feeling to be around with inspiring people. You tend to care less what tomorrow may bring.

Noodles and Dumplings

One fact or perhaps my misconception of getting full lightly is by eating foods such as noodles and dumplings. I found this newly opened shop right outside my hangout area-- Tops supermarket, always full of customers on queue. I waited and finally had my fill at The Canton House with few of my favorites. One good thing of having the hub around is not worrying about left overs. He will always try to finish the food because he feels guilty that many people are starving. This, I absolutely agree that is why I have to cheer him up before he'll let me finish it myself (^_^).

The new Canton House I'm referring to is in Future Park, Rangsit branch. It is right across Boots basement area.

Seizing the Moment

It's Christmas Day! With no formal plans we headed to the nearest mall to watch our first and last 3D movie of the year Avatar. As you know, me and T would always prefer watching films at home as we snuggle. However this time is another milestone in our history.

Towards starvation, we hurriedly took night shots of the Santa Village. I was thrilled seeing the huge Christmas tree and the ant size figures of the people around it. We have exceeded the supposedly thirty minutes shooting time into an hour. Then it's as if my stomach was already making an act. Like nagging moms alarming their children to eat.

I felt extremely happy with the thought of spending ordinary activities in extraordinary way. Just trying to live while we can.

Yuletide Cheers 2009

To our beloved family and friends, it is with great joy to wish you well this season of giving and merriment. As for this year we decided to go paperless so I have come up with this simple artwork. Here is our own little way of remembering you this Christmas!

Warm hugs from Siam (^_^)!

The Red Sky Experience

How could I possibly describe the Red Sky experience? Two words perhaps, terrificly awesome!

As much as I could recall, its distinctive illuminated arch gave it a soothing mood in an open sky ambiance outside as I sipped my mango blended raspberry martini which they called Ying Yang. I feel soooo ecstatic (^_^) seeing the splendid nighttime view of Bangkok's skyskrapers over the glass walls.

I can't help but imagine soon-to-be-couples who will be carrying out their proposal on this 55th floor and the ultimate happiness that awaits them. This place is remarkably romantic I tell you.

Going Side Street

ADVENTURE. Another great adventure had come my way last night. Louie, our generous host showed us his best choice when it comes to palatable side street cuisines. Indeed the resto is one of the good places to be in Bangkok.

These are some of the chosen few that we had from Ladtna Moo Sawat. This quaint restaurant is easy to find as it is strategically located right beside Century Mall, Victory Monument Station.

CELEBRATION. To my brother-in-law, wishing you a joyful celebration on this special day of yours. Happy Birthday Mart!

Accomplishment and Next

Last Monday afternoon, was a liberating moment for me as I finally uncovered the mystery of creating this type of photoblog theme. I am quite satisfied of what it turned out. Pure simplicity at its best. Now I am looking for ways how to recreate the same thing on my Wordpress blog but it seems that I would need the help of mr. techxplore inorder to materialize my idea. How I wish it would be that easy to shift his attention.

Soon it will be Christmas and I plan to wrap my presents for my little angels then place them below our tiny tree. How time flies so fast. I've noticed that my godsons and goddaughters seems to grow like weeds. Lately I chose to give them clothes which they could hopefully use for more than a year. Anyway, the bottomline has always been, it's the thought that counts!

I can feel Christmas in the air =)
